Art in Bloom

Spring got off to a magnificent start in Rye this year with the presentation of 22 works of art interpreted in flower arrangements at the 6th Art in Bloom show hosted by Webster at Rye in early April.

A record crowd turned out to view the displays by seacoast artists with music performed by Ray DeMarco. The popular event is co-produced by the Town of Rye Recreation Department, Webster, the Rye Driftwood Garden Club and the Rye Art Study Group. The purpose is "to promote and stimulate interest in the art of flower arranging, to share the talents of local artists and to foster relationships in our community."

Thanks to the photographic abilities of Judy Underwood of Rye (http://wanderingjude.com) and the technical skills of Portsmouth web designer Catherine Stone (www.redmoosedesign.com), Rye Reflections is proud to present (below) all 22 exhibits. Please follow these simple instructions in order to get the most enjoyment and information out of each submission:

(1) Move your cursor over the photo/arrangement you wish to look at. Do *not* click on it.

(2) The image will automatically blow up into a medium size that will display the name of the photographer and arranger. (If the layout of the thumbnail photos should change, click on Refresh at the top of your page to restore the original setup).

(3) Now, when you click on the medium-sized image, it will blow up into a large size for better viewing.

(4) In order to get back to the original 22, simply hit your Back button.

(5) And enjoy!
